1. DEPARTMENT OF SURGERY – POSITION: THE PERIOPERATIVE NURSE
As AGEL Ostrava – Vítkovice hospital, we provide services in 5 operating rooms with modern medical equipment in all branches, meeting patient and employee safety requirements. We give priority to performing an operation under the best conditions and give great importance to teamwork. Our operating rooms serve on a 7/24 basis and consist of experienced staff.
We perform the following types of operations in our operating rooms:
- General surgery and minimally invasive surgery (laparoscopy)
- Vascular surgery
- Bariatric surgery
- Orthopedics
- Gynecology
- Otorhinolaryngology
Operating Room Nurse responsibilities:
- Preparing the room and sterile supplies for the surgical case
- Reviewing patient records
- Setting up equipment/machines off the sterile field
- Preparing the surgical site
- Preparing and handling instruments during the surgical procedures
- Assisting the surgeon during surgical procedures
- Managing the overall nursing care in the operating room to help maintain a safe and comfortable environment
- Cleaning surgical equipment and operating rooms to maintain a sterile environment
We require these qualifications and skills:
- Valid nursing license and registration
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program
- Prior experience in an operating room or surgical setting (at least 2 years)
- Advanced certification in perioperative nursing (preferred)
- Excellent clinical and assessment skills
- Knowledge of surgical procedures and sterile techniques
- Proficiency in using medical equipment and instruments
- Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Emotional resilience and ability to handle stressful situations
2. DEPARTMENT OF ANAESTHESIOLOGY AND RESUSCITATION (ARD) – POSITION: THE GENERAL NURSE FOR THE ARD
The Anaesthesiology and Resuscitation Department consists of two parts:Anesthesiology part - it is provided in operating and interventional theatres, anesthesiology otpatient clinic. Erudite anaesthesiologists administer general anaesthesia and various types of anaesthesia. The Resuscitation Inpatient Department of the AGEL Ostrava-Vítkovice Hospital has 6 closed boxes fully equipped to provide complex, highly specialised resuscitation and intensive care for critically ill patients, regardless of the underlying cause.
The wide spectrum of patients is dominated by patients after major surgical procedures, patients after:
- successful cardiopulmonary resuscitation,
- patients with heart failure,
- circulatory failure,
- respiratory failure and patients with central nervous system involvement.
The instrumentation is state-of-the-art and provides a high level of comfort for both patients and staff.
General Nurse responsibilities:
- It provides basic, specialized and highly specialized nursing care in the ARD department
- Patient care before, during and after surgery, including intervention when one or more of the patient's vital signs fail
- Operate the equipment in the ARD department (e.g. pulmonary ventilators, dialysis, defibrillators, infusion equipment)
- Ensuring the constant technical readiness of the department and the functionality of medical devices
We require these qualifications and skills:
- Valid nursing license and registration
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program
- Prior experience on department of ARD (at least 2 years)
- Advanced certification in anaesthesia care
- Excellent clinical and assessment skills
- Proficiency in using medical equipment and instruments
- Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Emotional resilience and ability to handle stressful situations
3. DEPARTMENT OF RADIOLOGY – POSITION: THE RADIOLOGY ASSISTANT
The Radiology Department at AGEL Hospital Ostrava-Vítkovice plays a key role in both diagnostics and treatment.
Radiology Assistant responsibilities:
- We are equipped with state-of-the-art imaging technology, including CT, MRI, and digital X-ray systems, enabling fast and accurate examinations
- It provides basic, specialized and highly specialized nursing care in the Radiology department
- Patient care before, during and after surgery
- Ensuring the constant technical readiness of the department and the functionality of medical devices
We require these qualifications and skills:
- Valid license and registration of Radiologic Assistant
- Graduation from an accredited program – Radiologic Assistant
- Prior experience on department of Radiology (at least 2 years)
- Excellent clinical and assessment skills
- Proficiency in using medical equipment
- Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Emotional resilience and ability to handle stressful situations
